Supporting reconciliation
Each year, National Reconciliation Week (NRW) is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.
To acknowledge and celebrate reconciliation, the Glenrowan Solar Farm team from Pacific Partnerships and UGL invited the Traditional Custodians the Bangerang people to undertake a Welcome to Country on site.
We were privileged to have Jiarrah (Ji) on behalf of her father and Elder, Uncle Dozer Atkinson to Welcome the team to Bangerang Country with Ji sharing connection, knowledge, and stories.
The Bangerang people are river people, with numerous rivers and creeks that flow throughout their country which continue to provide plentiful resources to many communities today.
